What exactly about the game do you believe is p2w? Selling gold? You know what every single MMO has a problem with? Gold sellers and botters. Sure you can buy books of insight from the marketplace, but you can't buy them with cash. It's extremely easy to get to tier 8 just doing solo dungeons. You still have to do the work to skill up your gathering as well. But anyone seeing you in that shiny 8.4, who is there to gank, will come after you. It might scare off some people not really looking to gank. Riding around in black areas with a full set of 8.4 isn't going to make you better at pvp. Use this as a simple guide, not the truth.ĮDIT: PLEASE refer to the new list for discussions or questions. Most of these games now, have at least one way (legal or illegal) to buy things with real money, but they are usually skill based, in a way that having money won't make you win (like buying gold on OSRS or EVE) where your skills both, real and ingame, are more important. Play normal content (followed by a tag like f2p or b2p) but has content that you need to pay to playį2t - free to test, most of the times games that are subscription based but you can test as much as you want, or play with content blocked.ĮDIT 6th of september: This is an old thread, not updated since a long time ago.
